The family of an Avonmore man who died from injuries in a truck crash last Thursday thanked those who tried to save him. The Trib reports that 71-year-old Carl Noonan died Friday afternoon at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. The day before, his truck rolled over near the Route 119/Route 66 interchange in New Stanton. Over a dozen passersby stopped to put out the fire that resulted in the crash and get him out of the truck. Those people, along with the doctors and staff from the hospital were thanked by the family in his obituary.
