NORTH HUNTINGDON TEEN DROWNS IN PRESQUE ISLE BAY

A North Huntingdon girl drowned in a kayak accident in Presque Isle Bay Friday night.  The Trib reports that the Erie County Coroner identified the victim as 17-year-old Madison Gallagher.  Gallagher was kayaking with a man on Friday when their boats overturned.  A man operating a jet ski was able to save the man, but when he returned to save her, she could not be found.  Her body was found Sunday afternoon and pulled ashore by passersby.  The Erie County Coroner said weather was not a factor in Friday’s accident.
