DERRY TOWNSHIP COUPLE SENTENCED

A Westmoreland County couple convicted of assaulting a teenage boy to the point of permanent disfigurement is learning their fate.  State police went to the Derry Township home of Charles and Jamie Harr in September of 2023 to perform a welfare check on the boy.  The victim was taken for treatment when officers noticed damage to one of his ears.  Days later, the teen reportedly told police that it had been caused by the Harrs.  The couple pleaded guilty in April to charges in the case and were each sentenced yesterday to serve nine to 18 months in prison.
