ATTEMPTED MURDER VICTIM WANTS SON TO RECEIVE SPECIAL KOSHER DIET

The mother and the person that Kort Eckman tried to kill in October of 2023 is asking a judge that her son, the accused murderer, to receive a special kosher diet in line with his religious beliefs.  The Trib reports that police accused Eckman of trying to stab his mother, believing that she was a Nazi war criminal.  Eckman, who observes the jewish faith, said that he has been denied kosher meals while at Westmoreland County Jail.  The warden said they will consider the idea.
