Officials in Hempfield Township are hiring an auctioneer to help sell off some surplus equipment. Township supervisors have approved a plan to contract with Anderson Auctioneers for the online sale. Local leaders say they have 55 items to get rid of, mostly from the public works and parks departments, ranging from trucks, to tool boxes, to computer monitors and more. The sale will be happening sometime in September or October.
