Leaders with New Kensington-Arnold School District are planning to install vape sensors at Valley Junior-Senior High School. This week, the local school board approved a nearly 13-thousand-dollar contract to have the devices put in. Superintendent Chris Sefcheck says vaping is an issue among young people in general and the district is making an effort to keep the problem out of the school. Several other high schools in the region, including Burrell, Plum, Highlands, and Riverview, have vape detectors as well.
