PROJECT TO IMPROVE LATROBE AMTRAK STATION UNDERWAY

A project to improve the Latrobe Amtrak station is underway.  The Trib reports that the project will focus on improving access to the station for all passengers, including those with physical limitations.  The project will add a new ADA-compliant ramp with canopy, replace the existing concrete steps, and resurface the current platform.  Other improvements include new lighting, accessible walkways and a repaved parking lot.  The work is expected to wrap up next Summer.
