A Jeannette man who was running for mayor was found guilty of posting campaign signs on utility poles illegally The Trib reports that yesterday, 61-year-old Ed Day was fined $100 plus costs for violating state law that prohibits using a nail, tack or metal or hard substance to post a sign on a utility pole. State police Cpl. Jonathan Lindsay testified that he counted 31 signs, but he was cited for only one. Troopers asked him to take the signs down, but he claimed that those who complained were retaliating against him. Day vowed to appeal the ruling.
