A state trooper testified that he overdosed after he was exposed to fentanyl during the arrest of a Pittsburgh man last year. The Trib reports that Trooper Joshua Wiskeman testified in the pre-trial hearing for 27-year-old Robert Whitley, Jr., who faces aggravated assault and drug-related charges for the incident in May of 2024 at the parking lot of the Demont Walmart. Whitley’s attorneys claim troopers improperly searched his vehicle and there is no basis for an assault charge. Judge Scott Mears said he would rule on the pre-trial motions later this year after reviewing written legal arguments submitted by the lawyers.
