AVONMORE WOMAN KILLED IN INDIANA COUNTY CRASH

A 102-year-old Avonmore woman was killed in a crash Friday afternoon in Burrell Township, Indiana County.  Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr., identified the victim as Mary Lutz.  She was a passenger in a vehicle turning left out of Resort Plaza onto Route 22 when another vehicle on 22 ran the red light and collided with Lutz’s vehicle.  Lutz was taken to IRMC where she later died.  A second person was taken to Allegheny General Hospital and a third was taken to Forbes Hospital.
