The trial of an East Huntingdon man charged with the attempted murder of two state troopers got underway yesterday. The Trib reports that James Miller faces 21 counts including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other offenses for the January 28th, 2024 shooting at his home. Prosecutors say he fired on police as they investigated a neighbor’s report that a bullet was found in the attic of a nearby home and gunshots were heard in the area. Miller’s attorney claims officers concocted evidence to cover up the shooting of Miller by officers. The trial will continue today.
