A former Fayette County man pleaded guilty on Monday to lesser charges connected with the overdose death of Jason Schwartz. The Trib reports 36-year-old Steven Shively of Mt. Pleasant Township was facing charges of drug delivery resulting in death for the incident in 2020, but was allowed to plead guilty to misdemeanor offenses of involuntary manslaughter and drug counts in return for no additional jail time. Assistant DA Adam Barr said evidentiary issues lead to a deal. He was sentenced to serve up to 23 months in jail, but was paroled immediately.
