ONE PERSON IN CUSTODY AFTER NEW KEN SHOOTING

One person is in custody after a shooting outside an apartment complex in New Kensington.  The Trib reports that the shooting happened at 12:35 PM outside the Valley Royal Court apartments.  Police have arrested 17-year-old Logan James King with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and attempts to cause bodily harm with a weapon.  One person was shot after an argument turned violent and he barricaded himself in the apartments.  SWAT teams were called out to assist on site.  King would later surrender without further incident.  Bail was denied and he is in Westmoreland County Jail awaiting a September 18th preliminary hearing.
