Leaders with Monessen City Schools are warning families about recent cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. Superintendent Doctor Robert Motte has sent a letter to parents, letting them know that the there have been at least five cases reported at the district’s elementary school. Families are asked to monitor their kids for fever, rash, and other symptoms and keep them home if they are sick. Custodians have been deep cleaning and disinfecting the school and buses are being cleaned thoroughly as well.
