An Irwin woman was charged after several children and pets were found living in filth. WTAE-TV reports that police were called to the intersection of Spruce Street and Short Street on Monday and found the deplorable conditions after they were told of seven children who were filthy and chasing a dog unsupervised. One of the children said their mother, identified as Marah Urch left her to babysit five siblings, ranging in ages from 7 months to 10 years old while she went to watch a softball game at P.A.L. Field. Urch is facing multiple counts of child endangerment and animal cruelty.
