A Mt. Pleasant man is facing charges in the death of a Greensburg man this past winter after the two fell through the ice in Maryland. The Trib reports that officers with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources said 59-year-old Ricky Wise was driving a side-by-side with David Linsenbigler of Greensburg when they broke through the ice at Deep Creek Lake. While Wise was able to escape, Linsenbigler remained trapped until first responders could get to him. He later died at a hospital in Morgantown. Wise is charged with negligible homicide, homicide by vehicle while DUI and other crimes, and could spend over 12 years in prison and pay over $16,000 in fines if convicted.
