FLIGHT CUTS EXPECTED AT WESTMORELAND COUNTY AIRPORT

As flight cuts are expected at Westmoreland County Airport, airport officials are bracing for financial losses.  The Trib reports that cuts to the flight schedule by Spirit Airlines combined with the decision to freeze monthly subsidy payments could limit the authority’s revenue projections for the last quarter of 2025.  Authority director Gabe Monzo said that they have enough cash flow to possibly avoid layoffs this year.
