State police continue to seek information on how a transient was found dead near state game land in New Alexandria over the weekend. The Trib reports that Trooper Steven Limani at a news conference yesterday said the death of 64-year-old Robert Friend is still considered suspicious as investigators believe he was placed near the Mannitto Golf Course. A hunter found the body Saturday. It’s believed Friend died late Friday night or early Saturday. Police are hoping for cooperation from the public to begin piecing together what happened to Friend and learn about his general habits. He typically found places to stay across the Greensburg area. A $2000 reward is being offered for information on the case. People can call police at 724-697-5780 or calling 1-800-4-PA-TIPS.
