HORSES RESCUED AFTER SCOTTDALE BARN FIRE

Six horses were rescued after a barn at a horse ranch near Scottdale caught fire Monday night.  The Trib reports that the fire was reported at 6:00 PM at Regency Horse Ranch on Regency Lane near Chaintown Road.  Officials say that the owners were able to rescue the six horses.  Fire crews were able to pump water from a lake on the property and use water from a nearby hydrant to fight the fire.  The barn was built in the 1800s and is considered a total loss.  The cause and origin of the fire are undetermined.
