The budget standoff between Republican and Democrat lawmakers in Pennsylvania could be coming to a close this week. Officials from both sides say they are nearing an agreement on the state’s spending plan. Elected leaders spent much of yesterday trying to work out details. GOP State Senator Devlin Robinson says Democrats may agree to do away with the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, saving some of the spending that has been a sticking point for Republicans. Pennsylvania has not had a budget in place since July 1st. A vote could come as soon as today.
