ROADWORK STARTS TODAY ON ROUTE 51 IN ROSTRAVER

There will be some roadwork starting today for a section of Route 51 in Rostraver.  The Trib reports that single-lane restrictions will be in place between 7 AM and 5 PM today through November 21st between Concord Lane and Ridge Road as crews from Power Contracting and Vantage work on traffic signal upgrades and install new overhead signs at the intersection.  PennDOT says There also will be 15-minute rolling closures on that section of the highway between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday through Nov. 21.The work is part of a $120.6 million project that is reconfiguring the interchange of Route 51 and Interstate 70 in a diverging diamond format and upgrading an adjacent section of the interstate.
