ONE YEAR SINCE SINKHOLE CLAIMED THE LIFE OF MARGUERITE WOMAN

This month marks one year since a sinkhole opened up along Libby Lane near Marguerite Road in Unity Township.  The Trib reports last December 64-year-old Elizabeth Pollard of Unity fell to her death behind Monday’s Union Restaurant after a sinkhole opened underneath her while she was looking for her cat.  Her body was found on December 6th, four days after the collapse.  Since then, the void where the abandoned mine was has been filled.
