DELMONT MAYOR RESIGNS

Delmont will be without a mayor at the start of the year.  The Trib reports that borough council accepted a letter of resignation from Alyce Urban at last night’s council meeting.  This came on the heels of running unopposed for the position in November.  Outgoing solicitor Dan Hewett, who is retiring at the end of the year, advised council to wait until the reorganizational meeting in January to consider filling the mayoral vacancy.
