GREENSBURG PENSION COMMISSION TO RETURN CONTRIBUTIONS MADE BY FORMER POLICE CHIEF

Greensburg’s pension commission will return nearly $62,000 in contributions made by its former police chief while the city’s police pension commission continues to consider an appeal by a retired officer whose benefits were suspended.  The Trib reports that both Regina McAtee and Shawn Denning are serving federal sentences in connection with a drug distribution conspiracy case.  Members of the commission voted Tuesday to return the contributions the former chief made to his pension.  McAtee’s has appealed her suspension and on Tuesday, the commission heard arguments from her attorney.  A hearing officer will make a recommendation at a later meeting.
