PREIMINARY HEARING HELD FOR GREENSBURG MAN ACCUSED OF HOMICIDE

A preliminary hearing was held yesterday for a man charged in connection with the death of Robert Friend.  The Trib reports that 47-year-old Joseph Zvara of Greensburg will face charges of homicide and abuse of a corpse as a result of yesterday’s hearing.  Friend’s body was found by hunters on state game lands in Loyalhanna Township on October 25th.  Troopers presented video surveillance footage that showed Zvara and Friend together on the evening of October 21st and getting into a scuffle.  Zvara remains in Westmoreland County Prison without bail.
