LIGONIER TOWNSHIP PASSES 2026 BUDGET WITH 25% TAX INCREASE

Ligonier Township passed the 2026 budget with a 25% tax increase.  The Trib reports that taxes increased from 6 mills to 7.5 mills and is expected to generate an additional $150,000.  The spending plan comes to $2,7 million, and saw increases in the township’s contribution to the Ligonier Valley Police Department budget along with investments in planned bridge projects and inflationary cost measures.
