A judge is not allowing a man convicted in connection with a deadly shooting in Jeannette to withdraw his guilty plea. The ruling in the case involving 46-year-old Greg Harper was made last week. Harper previously pleaded guilty to third-degree murder after fatally shooting 48-year-old Damieian Williams at a Jeannette High School football game in 2019. Harper requested that the plea be dropped to allow him to claim self-defense at trial, saying his attorney misled him about his possible sentence. In the decision, the judge says Harper was properly informed of his possible prison time. He is serving eleven to 25 years right now.
