A North Huntingdon Police Car was damaged during a chase Saturday after authorities said that a fleeing suspect rammed it head on. The Trib reports that police tried to pull over a car driven by 39-year-old Julian Johnson of Pittsburgh on Route 30 in North Huntingdon township after an officer saw the car drive without headlights and make an illegal u-turn. After the collision with the township cruiser, the car continued at 90 mph into Allegheny County with severe damage to the front end. The driver bailed out in Wilkinsburg and tried to flee on foot, but was eventually caught, and police seized drugs, cash and a gun that he was seen throwing during the chase. He is now at Westmoreland County prison without bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for January 16th.
