LATROBE NONPROFIT MAKES BID FOR FORMER MANOS THEATER BUILDING

A non-profit group in Latrobe has made a bid for the former Manos theater building.  The Trib reports that the building used to house a fitness center before Cabaret Theater Inc. purchased it in August of 2015.  Renovations to the building hit some major hurdles including an unexpected requirement to install a fire-suppression sprinkler system and two years of back taxes assessed against the now tax-exempt property.  The Latrobe Community Revitalization Program has made a bid for the building of $25,000.  A hearing is set for January 28th to consider that bid or any others that come in.
