A Philadelphia Man who refused to appear in court for his trial was found guilty of three drug offenses by a Westmoreland County jury. The Trib reports that 44-year-old Rysheid Baldwin was charged in connection with an incident in 2021 where he tried to sell heroin to an undercover North Huntingdon officer. After declaring he was acting as his own tawyer, he refused to leave the courthouse holding cell on Tuesday, and Judge Meghan Billik-Defazio ordered he be tried in absentia. It took just nine minutes for a jury to reach a verdict. Baldwin will remain in jail until his sentencing hearing in about three months.
