MONEY FROM LOCAL HOTEL TAX TO SUPPORT BUSINESSES IN WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Money from a local hotel tax is going to support businesses in Westmoreland County.  The Go Laurels Highlands tourism organization distributed over 630-thousand dollars to roughly 50 businesses and agencies yesterday.  The payments are meant to cove promotion and marketing efforts for those companies through the coming year.  The county’s hotel tax was established in 2003.
