TRIAL DATE SET FOR DELMONT WOMAN CHARGED WITH MURDERING HER ADOPTED SON

A trial date has been set for a Delmont woman charged with torturing and killing her adopted son.  The Trib reports that a court order has been issued for jury selection for the trial of Lauren Maloberti to start May 4th.  She is charged with first degree murder for the death of 5-year-old Landon Maloberti.  Prosecutors claimed that she and her husband Jacob would beat, starve and abused the child physically and mentally.  Both have denied responsibility for their son’s death and remain in Westmoreland County Prison.
