CONNELLSVILLE MAN CHARGED IN EAST HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP SHOOTING

A Connellsville man was charged in connection with a daylight shooting in East Huntingdon Township.  The Trib reports that 38-year-old Steven Heald faces attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault and stalking in connection with the shooting at 1:00 PM at the Crossroads Plaza outside of Planet Fitness.  Trooper Steven Limani said Heald and the victim knew each other and said that it was not a random act of violence.  Heald was taken into custody at the Connellsville police station.  No word on a motive.  Heald is in Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of bail with a preliminary hearing set for January 21st.
