A man accused of kicking, punching and choking a dog in in South Huntingdon was ordered to serve time in state prison. The Trib reports that 31-year-old Zachary Hixson was charged in connection with the incident in July of 2024 where he assaulted a 10-year-old dog while living at his then-girlfriend’s home. The dog is now paralyzed. Judge Scott Mears ordered him to serve 20 to 53 months in state prison.
