A North Versailles woman was sentenced for a shooting in August of 2022. The Trib reports that in November of last year, a jury convicted 36-year-old Leah Gillis for the incident where she fired a 100-year-old shotgun at Erik Allison after finding out that Allison was dating someone else. During the sentencing hearing, Allison claimed there were still about 100 shotgun pellets in his body. Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Mears sentenced Gillis to serve 8 to 16 years in prison.
