A Youngwood man pleaded guilty to resisting arrest at a Hempfield fitness club and will be extradited to Wisconsin. The Trib reports that 35-year-old Martin Alvarez, Jr. entered the plea yesterday to charges related to an incident on December 11th where he tried to flee after an out-of-uniform state trooper identified him and tried to take him into custody. Police had to use a taser after he tried to flee. He was ordered to serve up to six months in prison, but was given credit for time already served. He is being extradited to Wisconsin on charges of absconding from supervision.
