A Hempfield man was ordered to serve eight to 20 years in prison for his part in a murder-for-hire plot against his sister. The Trib reports that Peter John Cute pleaded guilty to solicitation to commit murder back in October of 2024. Authorities say he tried to hire a hit man to kill his sister, and he met with an undercover officer who recorded the conversation where he tried to get the officer to kill his sister the next day. On top of the jail time, he will serve an additional five years probation for an unrelated theft case.
