BURRELL SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES SALE OF STEWART ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROPERTY

New life will soon come to the now vacant property of Stewart Elementary School in Westmoreland County.  On Tuesday, the Burrell School Board approved of selling the more than eight-acre property on Leechburg Road to a developer who will turn the site into duplex-style condos.  The school closed at the end of last school year due to declining enrollment and the building’s need for costly renovations.
