Ligonier Country Market is proposing moving to a new site in downtown Ligonier Borough. The Trib reports that the market has been held on Loyalhanna Watershed Association property off Route 30 for the last 25 years, but it was announced the association terminated the lease on January 23rd which invalidates any special events permits from the Ligonier Township Supervisors approved earlier this month. Borough council President Jordan Frei said Mayor Tom Freeman and council Vice President Carol Barton are working with market officials to determine the feasibility of hosting the event downtown.
