Two people are now facing charges after climbing to the top of Pittsburgh’s Gulf Tower last week. Police say arrest warrants on felony trespassing counts were issued for Austin Seik and Mariah Lynn Barnes on Saturday. Seik has admitted that the two broke into the downtown building using a paint scraper last Thursday and then went up to the roof before climbing to the highest point, according to officials. Gulf Tower stands at nearly 600 feet and was the tallest building in Pennsylvania from when it was built in the 1930’s until U.S. Steel Tower opened roughly 40 years later.
