DELMONT VISIONARY COMMITTEE TO UNDERTAKE WESTMORELAND HERITAGE TRAIL STUDY

The Delmont Visionary Committee will undertake a study to determine how to bring a spur of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail into the borough.  The Trib reports The committee received a $20,000 grant from the state Department of Natural Resources that will evaluate two routes for a borough trail to connect with the Heritage Trail, which passes just north of Delmont, with trail access at Athena Drive.  An online survey will be put out to collect info on where people use the trail, what they come to Delmont to do, outdoor activities and other questions.  You can go to delmontboro.com to access the survey.
