A consolidated lawsuit has been filed in connection with the 2020 bus crash on the PA turnpike near Mt. Pleasant that killed five people and injured 60. The Trib reports that the lawsuit will be litigated in Westmoreland County. The State Supreme Court said last fall that the case should be transferred to Westmoreland County from Philadelphia as many of the potential witnesses reside in the county. The lawsuit alleges the bus driver was negligent as he was speeding on a dark and snow-covered road and a FedEx driver that crashed into him was wearing noise-cancelling headphones at the time of the crash.
