Bids for a renovation project at the Hempfield High School have come in lower than expected. The Trib reports that the base bid for the project was expected to be nearly $150 million. The board is expected to approve bids totaling $119 million. The main part of the project will be a two-story addition on the front of the school connecting the auditorium to the pool. The project is expected to be finished in 2029. The bid package is expected to be approved on March 30th at the next meeting.
