A Penn Township couple faces charges related to the abandonment of a puppy. KDKA-TV reports that in January, police were called out to a home along Route 130 after a landlord called for a welfare check worried about flooding coming from inside the home and the residents, Michael Albright and Heather Dunlap, reportedly changing the locks after they were evicted. When officers got there, they found that flooding from an upstairs bathroom caused the ceiling and drywall to collapse. They believed that the sink was intentionally clogged to cause further damage to the residence. Inside the bathroom, police found a dog that did not have access to food or water. The two face charges of animal cruelty and Albright is charged with intentionally damaging the building.
