GE Verona has spent $70 million to buy a distribution center in Rostraver last month. The Trib reports that GE Vernova subsidiary GE Renewables Grid LLC purchased the more than 700,000-square-foot property from Gordon One LLC. No word on the plans for the facility About 10 minutes southwest of the Rostraver building, GE Vernova runs a factory in Speers that makes high-voltage switchgear products to manage the flow of power on the electric grid.GE Vernova is supplying seven natural gas turbines for the forthcoming 4.5-gigawatt power plant in Homer City, which will be used primarily to power on-site data centers. Construction is expected to wrap up in 2029.
