WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT GETS FIRST K-9

For the first time, Washington Township’s police department now has a K-9.  The department says Patrolman Dylan Keffer was sworn in last week, alongside his K-9 named Dirk.  Dirk is certified in several areas, including narcotics, building searches, and tracking and apprehensions.  Now that the police department has its first K-9, it says it will hold some type of fundraiser to build up funds for its K-9 unit.
