RELEASE DATE SET FOR HERSHEY FILM

A release date is set for the film “Hershey”, which had parts filmed in Westmoreland County.  The Trib reports that the film is set for Thanksgiving.  Filming in Ligonier took place in June and the trailer features some of the scenes filmed in Ligonier, including the Diamond and the Gazebo.  The movie will focus on the life of Milton Hershey and his wife, Kitty, and the school they went on to co-found.  Ligonier’s Diamond and West Main Street were transformed in June to reflect the late 1800s and early 1900s. Storefronts were altered to appear as a vintage drugstore, photography studio and millinery. Locals participated as extras.
