Jeannette officials are looking to have cameras installed at five city parks. Local leaders are requesting bids for a dozen cameras to be distributed across the properties. City Manager Ethan Keedy says police would have access to live feeds from the equipment in order to crack down on a recent uptick in vandalism and keep a closer eye on the parks. The project would be paid for using Community Development Block Grant funding. Bids for the cameras are due next week.
