Volunteers in Jeannette yesterday set up a community garden consisting of raised beds. The Trib reports that the new beds are made of recycled plastic and will not rot unlike the wooden beds that have been used over the years. The garden, at Seventh Street and Clay Avenue, has been in place for about nine years and gives residents an opportunity to grow their own food through The Seeds of Change project.
