A road from Route 30 into Adamsburg is scheduled to be closed permanently. The Trib reports that PennDOT announced this week that it plans to close the off-ramp for good on May 11. It is owned and maintained by Adamsburg. The closure does not affect the Adamsburg exit off Route 30 onto Edna Road. This is being seen as a safety measure as the speed limit drops quickly to 25 miles an hour from highway speeds and that has led to several crashes.
